TETRAPRIMER A - HIGH QUALITY INTERIOR PRIMER TPA-2000(WHITE)/TPA-2001(CLEAR)
Primer for interior use
TETRAPRIMER-A is a liquid form product of extremely fine particle size, used to penetrate deeply into porous substrates. It binds the dusty substrate to give a solid base for putty and decorative finishes such as TETRACO emulsions and decorative paints.
TETRAPRIMER is supplied in two forms, white and clear. Special colors are available upon request.
Properties
TETRAPRIMER-A greatly reduces the incidence of secondary efflorescence in concrete. It is especially suitable for sealing old, dry, absorbent or untreated concrete (high-alkali surfaces).
Areas of use
TETRAPRIMER-A is specially manufactured for interior use on cements, plasters, limes, and lightweight concrete. It can also be used on old painted surfaces to maintain stability.
Preparation of surface
Ensure that dust, dirt or foreign matter is brushed away. Ridges and form oil must be also removed. When applying to old painted surfaces, first wash down with soda / water solution, rinse and allow drying before painting.
Loose or defective areas should be repaired by using TETRAPUTTY for interior surfaces.
Preparation of primer
Thoroughly stir ready-to-use Primer until a homogenous liquid is formed.
- Dilute one part concentrated TETRAPRIMER CLEAR with 30% clean water and stir well
- Dilute one part concentrated TETRAPRIMER WHITE with 30% clean water and stir well
Application
Apply liberally and evenly by brush, roller or spray and allow drying. The surface is considered fully treated when a slight sheen is seen to appear on the surface (for TETRAPRIMER CLEAR only). Depending upon the surface condition it may be necessary to apply a second or third coat. TETRAPRIMER should be painted / covered as soon as possible, to ensure optimum adhesion.
